Teen & Kids Classes

The "Center for Flamenco Arts" offers a series of classes taught by Maya de Silva, a professional dancer and teacher with 25 years of experience. Intended for children from 8 to 16, classes will focus on the style and technique of Spanish Flamenco, with students learning proper posture, vocabulary in Spanish, the arm and hand movements known as braceo, footwork technique and flamenco rhythms, palmas (hand-clapping), turns, traveling steps and choreographies suited to the students' abilities.

Class Schedule:

Kids Flamenco: Thursdays 5:00-6:00 pm with Maya De Silva
  Session 2: February 28th - April 11th

Teen Flamenco: Sundays 11am - 12pm with Maya De Silva
   Session 2: March 3rd to April 14th

Classes take place at the beautiful Center for Flamenco Arts studios located conveniently at 4 West 43rd St, 8th floor, between 5th & 6th Avenues. Classes run throughout the academic year, with holiday weekends off.
