Evolving from the interactions of many cultures, flamenco is an art form that grew from Andalusia, a province in southern Spain. Inhabiting the area for centuries, the unique interplay among Moors, Jews, Andalusians, and Gypsies has shaped this most expressive and culturally rich folkloric genre of song, music, and dance. Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, founded in 1983, has continued to extol the traditions of flamenco while taking on an ambassadorial role of bridging today’s cultures in America and the world. Under the direction of Carlota Santana, the company’s dancers, singers, and musicians trace the development of flamenco, and reveal visions of life full of pride, passion, honor, love, and sorrow.
Touring
Each year the Company takes the show on the road! Our national tours bring us to cities large and small. We share the music and dance of the multicultural flamenco art form with new, diverse audiences, bringing a multicultural experience to people who might not have the chance to see flamenco anywhere else.
Stay tuned for Winter 2013 tour dates!
Our tours are arranged exclusively by Baylin Artists Management at (267) 880-3750 or mbaylin@baylinartists.com.
