by Sandra Rivera

NEW FLAMENCO BOOK
América en el Flamenco
by Faustino Núñez
Written by one of the foremost flamenco scholars of our time, musicologist Faustino Núñez, América en el Flamenco explores exactly what its title implies: the American continent’s influence on the evolution of flamenco.
This landmark work adds to the newly growing collection of research exploring America’s relationship to flamenco. Flamenco Vivo has been involved in spearheading related research, such as co-curating the 100 Years of Flamenco in New York exhibit at the New York Public Library for Performing Arts at Lincoln Center in 2013 with leading flamenco scholars Meira Goldberg and Ninotchka Bennahum who are crucial in this growing field of research.
