A STORIED LEGACY
AS A LEADER
OF FLAMENCO IN AMERICA
We’re proud to continue a story over a century old as a leader of flamenco in America.
For over a century, NYC’s vitality and unparalleled intersection of cultures has attracted and inspired flamenco artists. Some made this city their home – creating a thriving flamenco scene – while even those who returned took a piece of the “Big Apple” back with them. Indeed, NYC is part of flamenco’s own history.
It was from this fertile legacy that Flamenco Vivo was born, and today is a leader in championing the art of flamenco – and its values – throughout the United States through performance and artist development, as well as by using this art form to build stronger individuals and communities.
We believe that the universal spirit of flamenco – with diverse influences from Arab, Jewish, Roma, Spanish, African and Latin American cultures – has a unique power to build bridges between people.
If you’ve never experienced flamenco before, we invite you to share this incredible, exciting tradition – one that invites you to feel, more vividly. More alive. More you.
