Having studied ballet at the Conservatoire de Paris and taking flamenco lessons in Málaga, Spain, Brigitte Bardot’s life-long love of flamenco is evident in this video montage. It features scenes from the movie La Femme et le Pantin (1959), filmed on location in Andalucía, and photos of her dancing flamenco throughout the 60’s and 70’s. Bardot’s iconic off-the-shoulder look also influenced this year’s flamenco fashion trend, also called a “Bardot neckline” after the artist.
