Legendary Tablao Villa Rosa in Madrid was forced to close permanently after 110 years of history. Tablaos, one of the backbones of the flamenco community and Spanish heritage, are under unique stress due to the impact of COVID-19.
Francisco Gustavo Sánchez Gómez, known as Paco de Lucía, was one of the most celebrated flamenco guitarists of all time, who introduced countless innovations and crossed over into classical and jazz. We remember him on the anniversary of his passing, seven years ago.
